I found out about this product completely by chance and decided to give it a go, and I am absolutely enchanted!!! So versatile and with multiple benefits you can't really find combined in any other single product.
First, to start with the SPF! I haven't really heard of any other product that states having an SPF protection for the lids. It could be that there are some on the market that I am not aware of, and it could be that you can use some face products on the lids, but I haven't found in my research any that are really clearly stating they are safe to use on the lids. I believe the SPF comes from the minerals used, so it is physical protection that works immediately (as opposed to chemical components that work after being absorbed for 20 minutes). Don't hold my word for it, check it up with manufacturer, this is conclusion that comes from my own understanding on how SPFs generally work, and I am not a certified expert. So, I would buy for this reason, if nothing else, but there is more!
Product can be used as an alone eye-shadow or you can mix and match shades to get a desired look. It covers wonderfully and shades give awaken look to the eye, all of them being skin-like and neutral, so the look is very natural and not overly heavy. Another lovely thing is it comes with a wand applicator and you can work it with your fingers, or if you prefer, using a brush is also fine. Blends wonderfully, doesn't crease at all. Gives matte velvety finish with just a little bit of barely noticeable subtle sparkle to enliven the skin. Evens out skin tone and covers well, so works wonders if you have colored lid or veining, all to give you a natural looking healthy skin on the eyes. Practically a miracle!
Further on - works as a primer if you want to add powder eye-shadow on top, gives it an even surface to hold on to while not being sticky and prolongs the wear. Works best with other BareMinerals eye-shadows in terms of color-coordination, but it can be used just as well with other brands.
Sets rather quickly, so it would be best to do one eye at a time and don't go overboard with the amount of the product, a little works just perfect.
If you find the particular swatch is matching your skin tone rather well, you can even try using it as an under-eye concealer! The thing with the colors is that they are slightly tinted with the corrective tones - yellow for Soft Linen, peachy for Candlelit Peach, and so on, so choose shade that counteracts problematic tone you struggle with - if it is redness, dullness, dark circles - there is something for everyone.
Should I mention the price? Having a product that works as one as a primer, color corrector, eye-shadow, concealer and an unique SPF protector you can't really find anywhere else instead of having 5 products and piling them one on top of the other not only is a good value but a time, storage and a nerve sever which are actually benefits that these products translate to in real life. I got them in Soft Linen, Candlelit Peach and Sweet Spice and the only reason I didn't get them all is that there is no way I could be using them all at once
ProsCan't stop raving about them
Your skin as it is supposed to be in a perfect world, even on those days when all you can do is put your oversized sunglasses on.
