I love this duo ! I have been on a make up buying binge lately. I have tried several brands of eye pencils designed to brighten the eye area. Most are white......and I was loving them until I tried Youngblood's version. I'm 49 and enjoy a 'glamour' look, but tons of sparkle and glitter do not make for an age appropriate daytime look. The more off white/pinkish colored matte end of this duo is great for waterlining the lower lash line. It brightens the eyes so much, but doesn't scream "look at my white outline." While this would still be great for evening use, I is the ONLY eye brightening pencil that I will use in the daytime from now on. I use the ivory shimmer end of this to illuminate the inner corner of my eyes. The shimmer is subtle, which is perfect for me. The only thing that could make this product better would be if it came in a thin pencil style rather than this wider style. If I touch up with this product, the product part of the pencil can be stained by my mascara and eye liner on my lash line. That means that you have to wipe it off or file the tip.....either way, you lose product. I believe Youngblood designed it the way they did because a wider edge is better for highlighting the brow bone and to use this as an eye primer or eye shadow. This truly is a multi-functional product, but I have other products that I use for those functions. The consistency of both ends of this eye pencil is great. The mango seed oil and fruit wax ingredients mean the product glides on easily with no tugging and it has great staying power. If you swatch this on your hand, you might notice that it isn't super creamy, but that's a good thing. One of the first white eye pencils I purchased was a super creamy Sephora brand pencil. Over time, that smeared into my lash line eyeliner and mascara. Even worse, it could bleed into my sensitive eyes. Some eye pencils can be too hard. Who hasn't tried the really cheap eyeliners sold in many drugstores ? The hard product tips tug and pull on your delicate eye area. That's not a problem with the Youngblood Eye Illuminating Duo; It's not too soft and not too's just right !
