Our story began with tiny causations, small wonders, and little, sincere yet very important conversations. It is the story of a meeting between a nature wonder — freshwater green mud and people — a passionate team of idealists.
The desire to create something valuable and grounded in nature’s gifts was so strong that in 2017 we founded MARENCE — a cosmetics brand inspired by Latvian nature.
We, at MARENCE, believe in the strength of nature because we have witnessed that wildlife has all that we are looking for — health, beauty, wisdom, and harmony. Only in synergy with nature, we can be in harmony with ourselves and with others.
Freshwater green mud, which is the core of MARENCE cosmetics, is a natural wonder sourced in Latvia, in a lake located in Razna National Park. It is one of the few lakes where the highest quality sapropel can be found. Sapropel or mud forms as the result of the biochemical transformation of plants and animals throughout centuries. Freshwater green mud is a biologically active natural product full of active ingredients essential for our body and health — humic acid, fulvic acid, lipids, enzymes as well as a wide range of vitamins—carotene (provitamin A), D, B, B2, B12, folic acid, and others.
By combining this Natural Wonder with modern technology and science, we have created natural cosmetics that provide a long-lasting effect even on a cellular level. It is welcomed by our clients not only in the Baltics but also in Iceland, Canada, Germany, Austria, and elsewhere.
