Nice eye shadows, but colors were not what I expected
February 23, 2013
I have been using Borghese Shadow Milano trio in the shades "Venezia Violetta" for many years. I had stockpiled quite a few so I did not run out for a long time. The light shade on the left is a highlighter, the middle one is good for the lid, and the darkest for the crease above the eye. I searched for this item and could only find a Shadow Milano "duo" with an eyeliner with the same name Venezia Violetta. The photo looked just like the ones I've been using, although I didn't understand how one was now supposed to be an eyeliner. The new set comes with two brushes. One is smaller so I assume it's supposed to be for the eyeliner. I don't know whether you are supposed to wet the one on the right to make it usable as liner. The biggest disappointment is that these shades look right in the picture online, but the colors are not really the same as the old ones. I wrote to Borghese and they told me they have been discontinued. They didn't explain why they are using the same name for new colors!
ProsNice quality, colors are not harsh.
ConsNot the colors I expected.
