Directions:

STEP 1 Insert AA battery. For best results apply ModelCo FATLASH or LASHXTEND mascara first. Turbo LASHWAND should be applied soon after applying mascara. Remove cap, turn switch to ‘on’ and wait approximately 60 seconds.
STEP 2 USE Turbo LASHWAND at the root of eyelash. Gently fold back lashes against eyelid and hold for approximately 20-30 seconds to obtain optimum curl.
STEP 3 To maintain optimum battery life, switch ‘off’ immediately after use. It should take no longer than 3 minutes to complete steps 01 & 02. Use inbuilt comb to comb through and separate lashes if necessary. Clean Turbo LASHWAND with brush provided to prevent mascara build up.

Way better than the Lash Wand!

I bought the ModelCo lash wand when it first debut in 2002 and that was the only heated eyelash curler I ever owned and swore by to curl my mascara-layered eyelashes. Many people curl their eyelashes with the traditional clamp-style curler and then apply mascara, and then perhaps clamp it again. Well, I've tried that and my lashes always ended up drooping by the end of the day. The great thing about heated eyelash curlers is that they use heat plus your mascara to "set" the curl of your lashes.

The Turbo wand is a vast improvement from the original lash wand. I luv all the revamped features! First, the design of the body is more ergonomically friendly. The thick end fits comfortably in the hand, there's an on/off switch to let you know the heat is on, and (thank goodness for this one) the cap clicks into place and is quite secure. The cover for the lash wand kept falling off in my cosmetics bag and I would either need to tape it shut or place the lash wand itself in a small plastic bag to protect the curler part. Another feature of the turbo wand is that the temperature is hotter and it heats much faster than the lash wand, as it features a double coil heating system and uses a AA battery, whereas the lash wand has one coil and uses a AAA battery.

Now, some of the drawbacks...the turbo wand is pricey -- probably the most expensive heated eyelash curler or eyelash curler on the market. And you'll also need AA batteries for it to work. I haven't tested how long one AA battery will last me for the turbo wand, but I can warm up the wand and curl my lashes in less than 2 minutes. The turbo wand is a great investment and will last many many years. I've had the lash wand for 9 years and it still works!
