This is the best lipstick / gloss I have ever used. The color lasts for hours and it looks beautiful. It doesn't dry out your lips. I use a darker color on the outer rim of my lips and a lighter color in the center. Let the stain dry for a few seconds and then add the gloss. You may have to reapply a little gloss after a few hours; but the underlying color still looks fabulous for most of your day. Lip fixation also lasts for months, so the price is well worth it. This like all Jane Iredale products has no harmful chemicals or toxins according to the skindeep cosmetics database. So it is completely safe during pregnancy or after surgery.

Devotion is a lovely dark coral color with a little bit of pink. Doesn't dry out lips, stays extremely well. I didn't like the gloss that much. I found that if you apply too much it's very sticky, but if you apply just a little it looks very good, isn't sticky and stays on very well. Also, the brush on the gloss side was pointing everywhere even when I first opened the tube. I don't understand how this could happen since the item was in a box wrapped in plastic. The applicator on the stain was good.
