In a single clinical study involving 31 subjects:

Directions: Open the pouch and remove the soft tray. Place the soft tray into your mouth so that it fits snugly over your front teeth. Keep the tray snugly against your teeth for 15 minutes (or up to 30 minutes for continued whitening). Breathe and swallow normally and spit out excess saliva while the tray is in your mouth. Make sure the tray stays snugly in place. Once 15 minutes are up, remove the tray and throw it away. You may rinse your mouth with water to remove any residue. Avoid food and beverages that tend to stain, such as tobacco products, red wine, caffeine, chocolate, etc., for a few hours. Use one tray for your upper teeth and one tray for your lower teeth. It is possible to use both trays at the same time, but some people prefer to use one at a time. Discontinue use if burning or stinging exists.
